Used only to sign you in and to reset your password. It is not used for promotional email — there is none.

The betting simulation in tibbi is only open to people aged 18 and over. This is a gate, not a tick box for show.

Date of birth

You declare this yourself. We record how the check was done, when, and what the result was, as a separate record we can audit — not just a true or false flag on your profile.

The pilot is funded to benefit ACT residents. We use this self-declared region only to report ACT participation in groups large enough to protect privacy. Your postcode is never shown to a sponsor or funder, and it does not limit access.

Please answer honestly. The simulation is built for adults. It deals with losing money, chasing losses, and what that does to a household, and it is uncomfortable in places. If you are under 18, the support centre is still open to you.

I confirm I am 18 or over and I have read the Terms of use and 18+ declaration. I understand that tokens in this app have no monetary value, cannot be bought, and cannot be cashed out.

Creating an account does not enrol you in research. After the product walkthrough, you will get a separate informed-consent choice about the three-month pilot measurement. Saying no does not restrict the app. You can read what participation involves and what happens to research data now, and decide later.

Both boxes have to be ticked before the button turns on. After that you go straight to the walkthrough, which explains the loop and the things this app will not do. It cannot be skipped, because it holds the risk warning.

What we record, and why

This project only continues if we can show whether it works. So we do record what you do, and you should know exactly what that covers:

Lessons watched, quiz scores, tokens earned.
Simulated bets: tokens staked, selection, win or loss.
How your run goes: assets sold, times a run ended, cooldown weeks.
Taps on the support numbers, counted only, with no identity attached.

We do not record bank accounts, real money you have bet outside the app, your precise or device location, or your contacts. We do ask for a self-declared state or territory and postcode for aggregate ACT pilot reporting. The survey about your real-world betting is separate and voluntary, asked for on its own, and you lose nothing by saying no.

How your data is anonymised

When figures leave your account — into pilot reporting, into a sponsor's dashboard, into a report for a funding body — they leave aggregated and stripped of identity. No sponsor ever sees one person's behaviour. That is built in, not a policy setting that can be changed later.

Your wallet starts at 0 tokens

No welcome gift, no free tokens, no starter pack. New tokens come only from completed lessons and fixed Showdown milestones. If there were "100 tokens on us", that closed-source rule would already be false before the first screen.

The pilot is a separate choice

Fifty to a hundred people, three months, and a published report at the end whether or not it flatters us. Creating an app account is not consent to join that measurement. The next screen offers a separate yes/no choice after linking to the full pilot information.

Changed your mind

You can delete your account at any time from your profile, and ask for an export of everything we hold about you. The detail is in the privacy policy.
